Commission

This is a commission I made few months ago. It was a caricature of a friend for his birthday present. Happy birthday Piero! (a bit late..)

Christmas time and end of the term

I didn't have so much time for the blog in this period. Christmas holiday passed so fast and I was quite busy: being ill, moving out...
Immidiatly after I had two weeks before the end of the first term of my second year; and was not finished: i got a placement for a 3 motnhs internship in Luxembourg to the "Fabrique d'Image" as 2d animator! So, I had like 3 hours to make my bags after my hand-in before leaving England. But I am really happy to be here now and I will try to get as much as possible from this wonderful experience.

I had time to draw but no time to post something. So, here i am with a big post!


The Life Drawing section of this term I tried to do some digital painting. I practiced more with the line but I tried also with colours becasue is what I would like to improve. Not easy to do in a short time...

 

These are the random sketches I did in Christmas, passing the time looking and dreaming people, animals and places. Enjoy!

 

 

  

  

I told you i moved out from my dear childhood house in Italy.  The appartament was empty, covered just in boxes (there were no even the doors) but there was an amazing view from one of the window: unluckily i didn't have the time to make it in colours...

Be ill during holiday is so annoying...

Character design

Yesterday afternoon I had layout digital painting tutorial by Katie Fomina. I was really enthusiastic to learn new secrets in this subject, both for digital panting and layout. Thanks Katie!
We had to take with us a drawing from life of any layout and a picture reference to pick up the tonality. So, these are my pictures from my room:

Sunset

Tonight there was a beautiful sunset so I decide to practice in life drawing and layout concept. It took me like 20 mins ish.
